Welcome to the Props Academy!
Registration for Spring 2026 Academy is now open. Academy begins the week of April 20.
The Props Lacrosse Academy is the perfect introduction to lacrosse for boys and girls in 1st and 2nd grades from any Seattle neighborhood.
Our Academy provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment where young players can learn the fundamentals of lacrosse through engaging clinic-style sessions held April through May each year.
This non-contact program is designed specifically for beginners — no prior experience is required! Players will develop essential skills such as ground balls, passing, catching, cradling, and shooting. Those with some experience will have the opportunity to advance their skills through modified and more challenging drills. Each session concludes with small-sided, non-contact games where players can apply what they’ve learned in a fun and inclusive setting.
At Props Lacrosse, we follow the Positive Coaching Alliance’s “ELM” philosophy — emphasizing Effort, Learning, and Mistakes as key parts of development. Our coaching team includes high school-aged alumni of the Props program and current coaches from our 3rd–8th grade teams, ensuring every player receives quality instruction and encouragement.
Registration & Fees
Participation in the Props Academy is free, as it has always been!
Before registering, each player must have an active USA Lacrosse membership (approximately $35 per player), valid through June 2026. You can create or renew a membership here.
Equipment
The Academy is non-contact, and all drills are designed for safety and fun. Players only need:
- A lacrosse stick (loaners available if needed)
- A mouthguard
- Athletic shoes or cleats
All other protective gear (helmets, pads, etc.) is not required for the Academy program.
